May 2025: Two Sunny Days and the WordPress Rebellion
One Entry, Two Sunny Days, and a WordPress Rebellion
May 1 - Finally, Two Sunny Days in a Row: So once again, we got to have a sunny day. We were able to get more accomplished around the park - enough that Ed said we are all going to our regularly scheduled days of work starting on Monday.
I am having a challenge trying to figure out how to use this new block style of WordPress to build our website. It is going to take a bit to figure that out, as it appears it's a fairly steep learning curve for what they have put into place. Not for sure why they think such a complicated system is so much easier than what we already were using before they went to this. I may just break down and go back to doing just my own HTML articles and calling it good.
Cindy and I have been watching hockey in the evenings with the Stanley Cup. Kind of fun to have something different to watch for a change.
(This is the only entry in the journal for May 2025. The rest of the month is open - if more notes turn up, they can be added. For the record: the WordPress rebellion won. The site today is hand-rolled HTML, exactly as threatened.)
