Yuma VFW Overnight: Pizza, a Band, and the Huskies Losing Big
We left the Painted Rock Petroglyph Site in the morning and headed to the Yuma VFW for an overnight stopover on our way to Quartzsite. We stopped to drop off our trash on the way out of the campground. It was a fairly windy day, and with temperatures only in the 50s it was darn chilly.
Pizza, Beer, and a Band
This was just an overnight stopover, so we pulled in and leveled the trailer without unhitching. That completed, it was time to go to the post and enjoy a beer. We were surprised to find live music with dancing going on, so we enjoyed a few drinks and a pizza while listening to the band.
The Huskies Lose Big Time
Back at the trailer we got comfy and relaxed while watching the college championship football game that the Washington Huskies were in. They lost big time. After the game wrapped up, we headed to bed, getting ready for the move to Quartzsite in the morning.
Rolling Toward Quartzsite
We were up and getting ready to move, with Cindy prepping the inside while I got the outside ready to travel. We were rolling toward Quartzsite by around 9 a.m. and our next adventure.
Rig note: The Yuma VFW lot is a flat, easy overnight - level without unhitching, close to town for dinner and drinks, and a short hop up AZ-95 to Quartzsite the next morning.
