We left our site at the Pqinted Rock Petroglyphs outside of Gila Bend AZ and traveled to the Fry's grocery store in the foothills area of Yuma. After stocking up the fridge and pantry we fueled the truck up and headed North to Quartzsite.

Arriving in Quartzsite we got setup in the LTVA and settled down to relax and enjoy the sunset and stars. The sky is fairly dark in this area so that stargazing is decent. The following morning we drove down to the booth and purchased our permit for the year. While we were at La Posa South we filled our water bladder so we could fill the fresh water tank on the trailer. During our first week in town we checked out some of the vendor booths around town, plus ran out to Plamosa Rd to see where Boomerville is being held as we will be moving the trailer out for that event.

Jan 9 2023:

• daily walk: steps-3664 not terrible for a travel day
• left painted rock petroglyph and headed for yuma
• arriving in yuma went to fry’s for groceries and fueled truck at Mobil
• once the chores were done we headed up to quartzsite and got setup in our site from last year
• dinner of dogs and beans set us for the night
• took chloe for short walk after supper and got some pics of the sunset
• caught up on youtube videos till bedtime

Jan 10 2023:

• daily walk: steps-4932
• slept in till 7:30 this morning but woke up with a sore throat and cough may have caught cindy’s crud
• went into la posa tyson wash booth and picked up our stickers for the ltva
• filled water bladder at water station plus blue jug for trailer
• drove out into la posa south to see if could find where suite travels were parked- didn’t find them
• came back to trailer and put water in tanks
• worked on Brandon’s email to get it working for him again
• went into quartzsite and got more medicine for Cindy
• while in town went and paid $20 to join the local prospecting club
• watched a few youtube videos till bedtime

Jan 11 2023:

• daily walk: steps-7217
• 2x20 tailgate pushups
• went for morning and an afternoon walk for steps
• got Brandon’s website roughed in waiting on his input to be able to finish it
• had to get generator out and hooked up so could do that work on his website and to catch the batteries up
• from now on need to park with nose of trailer facing roughly east to help the solar be more efficient thru the day

Jan 12 2023:

• daily walk: steps- 7287
• coffee followed by smoothies made with markus’s powders
• generator won’t start this morning, checked it out and it has a loose connection on the battery
• we both showered and then I added the rest of the water we got earlier
• watched movie this evening
• to save on battery listened to radio during day so we didn’t have to run generator or inverter
• hopefully we are making progress getting over the plague
• Cindy downloaded movies while generator was going and then we mirrored those to tv which kept us from using as much power

Jan 13 2023:

• daily walk: 4786
• coffee and loaded generator etc so we could run to town. Chloe stayed home
• did laundry
• went out and looked at boomer area to see where to park
• checked out ken’s grocery and grabbed some cookies and such at $1 a package
• lunch at silly al’s pizza
• went to yacht club and listened to music
• the first edit of dad’s book came thru so need to call him and help him download so he can verify he likes the edits
